The Guild "SL" Superloop(TM) Accumulator eliminates reverse bending. It also eliminates tight bends and twists. This flow through design allows for no work hardening of the material since it is never bent past yield.
There is virtually no maintenance required on the "SL" design, and any maintenance that is required is done at floor level.
The Guild "SL" does not scratch the strip, which makes the unit ideal for bright or coated materials, where surface finish is critical. Once filled, the Superloop(TM) stays full to ensure the full rated storage is available for the next weld mode.
The Guild "SL" series offer operating flexibility. Different coil widths and thickness can be joined and run through the "SL" without having to empty and reload. Cambered strip is also easily processed.
The Guild "SL" Accumulator allows the strip to enter and exit anywhere along the diameter of the accumulator. This provides for flexibility of installation, particularly in areas where there is very minimal floor space available.
The Guild Superloop(TM) can fill at any speed. This yields maximum storage for any possible mill speed or size. Useable storage should be the main reason that an accumulator is purchased. Total floor space is usually not much more than with a vertical unit.
