The flattener is used to take the coil set out of the lead and tail end of the coil during feed-up and tail out. It is designed to handle strip up to about 36” in width.

FLT FLATTENER EXCLUSIVE FEATURES:

Large diameter entry pinch rolls to pull the lead strip off the uncoiler and deliver it to the shearwelder.	Large diameter work rolls used to flatten the hook from the tail end of the coil.
Heavy duty fabricated steel construction	Individuall, hydraulically operated screw jacks to adjust the amount of roll penetration. Each jack is supplied with an indicator readout.
Exit thread table used to help support and direct the new coil end into the shearwelder.	The Flattener is hydraulic motor driven, direct coupled through gearing to the flattener work rolls.
Large alligator mouth opening on the strip entry side for ease of threading.	Easily accessible ratcheting cross-slide adjustment.
