The following exclusive features are standard on the patented Guild PSA model shearwelders:
A tungsten height gauge that ensures proper setting of the tungsten electrode.
Built-in automatic gauge bar is provided with our patented split elevating backup bars. Other designs require the operator to manually insert the gauge bar properly and then remove it for every weld.
Properly sized air cylinders for clamping heavy gage strip provide over 200% more clamping force than others. We mount the cylinders and hoses at the rear of the machine, out of the way of the strip, so they are not damaged by the strip as the machine is pushed out of the line. Clamping actuation is by foot valves so the strip can be held with both hands by the operator. |
